Airbus delivers first A330 Regional to Saudia

Saudi Arabian Airlines, has taken delivery of its first A330-300 Regional. Saudia is launch customer for this new version of the A330. The airline has ordered 20 aircraft of the type.

Saudia already operates 12 earlier model A300-300s. The A330-300 Regional is optimised for short and medium haul operations, up to 5,000 km (2,700 nm). Airbus says that the Regional has a 20 per cent overall cost reduction compared with the heavier long-haul versions.
