Saudia 747 swerves from runway in Manila

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — A Boeing 747 of Saudi Arabian Airlines has swerved off the runway on Tuesday at Manila Anternational Airport.

No passengers were hurt, but a number of other flighs was delayed because the runway was blocked. The aircraft was preparing for take-off during heavy rain. The flight was bound for Riyadh with 298 passengers on board. You can see a photograph of the incident here.
