Singapore Airlines will deploy the Airbus A380 megajet on its flights to Auckland in New Zealand from 27 October 2014.
The 471-seat aircraft will perform flight SQ285 every day, departing Singapore at 20:50 hours and arriving in Auckland at 11:45 hours the following day.
The return flight SQ286 will depart Auckland at 13:30 hours and arrive in Singapore at 19:00 hours. The flights are currently operated with 278-seat Boeing 777-300ERs.
The A380 services are planned on a seasonal basis, however. During the Northern Summer operating season the route will be flown by 777-300ERs again.
Singapore Airlines operates twelve weekly flights to Auckland, including five others that are operated with 777-200ERs. The Airline also operates daily 777-200ER services to Christchurch.
Singapore Airlines flies its A380 to Beijing, Frankfurt, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne (until 25 October), Mumbai, New Delhi, New York, Paris, Shanghai, Sydney, Tokyo Narita and Zurich.
