Thai Airways made its last Airbus A300 flight on July 31, after 37 years of service with the airline. The aircraft flew between Khon Kaen and Bangkok. Thai took delivery of its first A300 in October 1977, an A300B4.
In September 1985 Thai received its first A300-600 and in August 1988 its first A300-600R. The airline ordered a total of 33 A300s: 12 B4s, 6 -600s and 15 -600Rs. It also leased two additional B4s for a couple of years.
A dwindling number of airlines still uses the A300 as a passenger aircraft. In March Monarch operated its last A300 flight. As a freighter the A300 is still popular among airlines.
